A Way Forward?

The final chapter of Understanding Gregory Bateson explores possible paths of “Wise Action” that we could undertake. After reviewing some of the already existing movements promoting reverent attitudes toward the living world, I have suggested a strategy which could be easily followed by all readers who share my concern for the future of humanity and the inter-related community of life on Earth. This does not involve more than gathering a group of one’s friends, learning and undertaking reverential attitudes and activities together - and then, after some months, starting with one friend from your original group a further similar group of friends….. this process to continue until, perhaps, it will involve many thousands of people world-wide.
